If you surmise that you have broken or fractured a bone, you should immediately consult the doctor. Bone fracture could cause allergenic reactions, infections, nerve or tissue damage, bone deformation and internal bleeding. Prevention is always better than treatment. Causes of broken bones may differ from person to person. You may break your bone in result of any trauma, accident, physical or sport activity or disease. Generally, women are more prone to bone crack than men are, because women lose bone strength after certain age. For example, stats show that after middle age more women are affected from bone diseases.
Normally, people are not erudite to treat bone fracture. However, if anybody cracks or breaks his bone, immediate first aid should be given. But always remember, do not touch the fractured bone or injured part, if you are not edified in first aid treatment. Usually, laymen create more complications and tribulations by touching the fractured bone.
Conversely, if you know about first aid treatment, you can save a person from lethal consequences. In order to provide first aid, first try to locate the affected region i.e. fractured or cracked part of the bone. Secondly, do not let person move because it may cause further complications or even damage to the bone. If realigning the bone is needed, do it. Scrutinize the blood circulation; try to place the affected part at height of six to ten inches to avoid inflammation. Support the broken bone and put a cold pack, if needed. You may also give anti-inflammation medicines and painkillers to the patient to suppress the twinge.
